What is RealPrompt?
RealPrompt is an app that seeks to connect recruiters and job searchers in a novel way to solve some of the issues with traditional online job applications, job boards and other job searching websites.
Am I seeing real jobs and people?
Our beta version features profiles created by real people in addition to computer generated profiles. As of now, we cannot certify that any of the jobs listed are for actual open positions and that job searchers are people who are indeed searching for jobs. If enough people show interest in our app, we will be happy to release a version that distinguishes real jobs and job searchers from testing data.
What’s the purpose of testing this app?
Although our app has been subjected to numerous internal tests, there is always a chance that we might have overlooked a bug or glitch. We hope that testers can report back to us if something goes wrong. We also hope that testers can provide feedback on their experience whether it’s good or bad so we can improve for the future.
Will this app ever be available on the app store?
We hope so! You can expect to hear from us in the coming months if testing goes smoothly.
Will this app ever be available for Android/Web?
Again we hope so. If there is sufficient interest from our testers, we will be happy to make the investment to make our app available for as many devices as possible.
Using the App
I signed up as a recruiter/job searcher even though I am not one of these, is that ok?
Yes. For now we are testing out our code and concept by putting our app in other people’s hands to find any flaws and or aspects that users enjoy. As stated earlier, we cannot verify that any users are job searchers or that any job postings are for open positions.
What data do you collect?
We collect debug data in the case that you experience a crash or if something breaks for you. We also store any information you provide in a private database such as your name, profile information, email etc. We do not collect data from your camera, microphone, precise location, files you might have stored elsewhere on your phone among other categories. We would be happy to address any security concerns, just contact us through our “Contact Us” page.
I misspelled my name/city etc. when I signed up and I can’t figure out how to change it, what do I do?
Contact us and we can fix your account. Our app is fairly lean so profile editing was designed to get us up and running and we understand mistakes might happen.
Why am I seeing jobs or profiles that aren’t relevant/that I’ve seen before?
We are working on improving our algorithm to generate potential matches however, we are limited in the size of our team and by the data that users provide. We are working on solutions behind the scenes to keep track of what you’ve seen before and to improve the use of parameters in our algorithm. Also keep in mind there are limited users testing our app so there is limited data we can present uniquely.
How do I report if something goes wrong?
